Alain Bettems, der Patron der Cave de la Crausaz, tr\u00e4umte schon lange davon, anstelle der traditionellen Spirituosen Lie und Marc einen Whisky zu brennen. Im Jahre 2006 nahm er dieses Projekt schliesslich in \"\"Angriff.
\nWhisky ist ein Getr\u00e4nk aus geschrotetem Gerstenmalz, das in 55 bis 75 Grad heissem Wasser gebr\u00fcht und danach fermentiert und destilliert wird. Damit ein Getr\u00e4nk als Whisky bezeichnet werden darf, muss es laut Gesetz mindestens drei Jahre lang im Fass ausgebaut werden.
\nUnser Allan\u2019s Gold reift f\u00fcnf Jahre lang in neuen, im Kanton St. Gallen hergestellten Schweizer F\u00e4ssern.
\nDadurch entwickelt der Allan\u2019s Gold Whisky einen charakteristischen Duft nach Getreide und Frucht \u2013 im Gaumen zeigen sich dann Sherry-, Pfeffer- und Apfelnoten mit einem Anflug von Holz.
\nIm Jahr 2017 haben wir unser Sortiment erweitert und produzieren neu einen zweiten, getorften Whisky.
\nAllan\u2019s Gold Tourb\u00e9 zeigt in der Nase Holz-, R\u00f6st- und Gew\u00fcrznoten. Im Mund entwickeln sich dann Vanille-, Karamell- und leichte Holzgeschmacksnoten.
\nIn diesem Jahr haben wir auf einem unserer Felder in F\u00e9chy Braugerste angepflanzt, damit wir den Rohstoff auf Gemeindeboden zur Verf\u00fcgung haben. Nach der Ernte wird die Gerste bei Genf gem\u00e4lzt, destilliert und danach in F\u00e9chy in unserem Whiskykeller im Fass gereift.\"\"
\nUnsere beiden Whiskys Allan\u2019s Gold und Allan\u2019s Gold Tourb\u00e9 wurden bei der Nationalen Edelbandpr\u00e4mierung Distiswiss mit der Silbermedaille ausgezeichnet.<\/p>\n
